Resumo

This paper reflects on the public responsibility of the university through two concepts rooted in the classical tradition that remain highly relevant today: parrhesia, understood as an ethical commitment to truth, and philia, conceived as the bond of trust and cooperation that makes human community possible. From this perspective, knowledge transfer is examined not only as an institutional function but also as a democratic responsibility aimed at strengthening critical citizenship. Finally, INTRACOM is proposed as a project of academic parrhesia and philia designed to foster research, knowledge transfer, and scientific cooperation across the Ibero-American sphere.
